Meet Tanya
Every person carries a story. Some chapters bring joy, while others leave us with questions, selfdoubt, or emotional pain. My work began with a simple curiosity about those stories—how they shape us, how they influence the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others.
My journey into psychology was not a straight path. Before becoming a counselling psychologist, I explored different academic interests, wrote poetry, and learned through my own experiences that feeling understood can change the way we move through life. Those experiences led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, where I found a profession that combined science, empathy, and genuine human connection.
My curiosity did not stop there. I went on to train in Clinical Hypnotherapy because I wanted to better understand the subconscious mind and how evidence-informed hypnotic techniques can support therapeutic work when used responsibly and ethically. Alongside this, I have also studied Reiki and Tarot as complementary wellness practices. While these approaches are available for individuals who actively seek them, they remain separate from my evidence-informed counselling and hypnotherapy services.
I believe therapy is not about telling people how to live their lives. It is about creating a space where they can slow down, reflect, understand themselves with greater clarity, and make choices that align with the life they want to build. My role is not to walk ahead of you or behind you, but to walk alongside you while we work together towards your goals.
I bring a calm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental approach to my work. I value honesty, confidentiality, and meaningful conversations built on trust. Whether you are navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply trying to understand yourself better, my aim is to offer a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Outside the therapy room, I am someone who enjoys reading, writing, baking, discovering quiet cafés, and spending time with books that deepen my understanding of human behaviour. I believe learning never truly ends, which is why I continue to pursue further education, professional training, and research alongside my clinical work.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I understand that choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and I consider it a privilege whenever someone places their trust in me. If you feel that my approach resonates with what you are looking for, I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
