What to Expect

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, especially if it is your first time. It is completely natural to have questions, feel uncertain, or wonder what to expect. My intention is to make the process as comfortable, transparent, and supportive as possible from the very beginning.

Before Your First Session

Once your consultation is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation with all the details you need before we meet. For online sessions, you will receive the meeting link and simple instructions to help you prepare. For in-person sessions, the exact session address and any relevant arrival information will be shared privately with you before your confirmed appointment.

nIf you have any practical questions before your first session, you are always welcome to get in touch.

Your First Visit

Our first session is an opportunity for us to understand what has brought you here, explore your current concerns, and discuss the goals you would like to work towards. Together, we will begin building a plan that is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs.
You are encouraged to share at a pace that feels comfortable, while ensuring that each session remains meaningful and focused on your therapeutic goals.
If you are attending in person, you will be welcomed into a calm, private, and confidential space designed to help you feel at ease.

During Our Sessions

Every individual brings a unique story, which is why no two therapy sessions are exactly alike. Our conversations will be guided by your needs, whether that involves understanding patterns, developing practical coping strategies, strengthening emotional awareness, or working towards meaningful personal growth.
My role is to provide a professional, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where we can work together with clarity, honesty, and mutual respect.

Between Sessions

Growth often continues beyond the therapy room. Many people find themselves reflecting on our conversations and noticing new perspectives in the days that follow.
When appropriate, I may recommend simple reflections, practical exercises, or helpful resources to support the work we are doing together. These recommendations are personalised, optional, and intended to complement your therapeutic journey.

Trust, Confidentiality, and Professional Care

A strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust. Every session is approached with professionalism, confidentiality, respect, and ethical responsibility, creating a space where you can speak openly and feel supported throughout the process.
My hope is that each session leaves you with greater clarity, a deeper understanding of yourself, and the confidence to continue moving forwardu2014one meaningful step at a time.
